Magnolia Down Under Challenge #140 Easter Inspired ♥

Hello! It is time for another challenge at MDUC
And this week we want to see EASTER creations.
I have made an Easter Card where I have masked together tree stamps. Tilda, Spring Fence and the background.
I have added Stickles-Star Dust, Crackle Accents and Liquid Pearls on to the image.
Tilda has also gotten herself some pearls in her ears.
The photo corner is painted with Crackle Paint-Picket Fence.
I have used the Distress Markers again for my coloring.
I really like the reds-Aged Mahogany and Victorian Velvet, in my opinion they look better with the Markers than the Ink. I have used both on Tilda's cloths.
The tags I have used are from Magnolia, Tilda Tag and So Wrapped Lovely.
I have stamped on an Easter sentiment on the tag.
The papers are from Pion Design.
I have sewed the papers with my sewing machine, and the paper edges are inked with Walnut Stain.
The ribbons I have used are Seem Bindings which I have sprayed with Glimmer Mist, and then curled it together for so letting it dry.
You can also view this card in my Magnolia blog.
Please visit the MDUC to look at the amazing creations from my DT-friends:)
Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Maja Design ~ Confirmation Card ♥

Here comes my new Maja Design project
In Norway it is the season for making confirmation cards now. It is a tradition here that the confirmands receive lots of cards on their day, both boys and girls, christian or non christian confirmands:)
I have fallen in love with the Tickled Pink Stamps recently, and even begged the owner of the stamps to send some of the stamps for my husbands shop Hjerteboden. And she is so helpful, so hopefully soon I will have more TPS images to work with. Yes, I know they are digi-stamps too, but I am addicted to rubber!:)
And it is a lot easier for me who colours with Distresses.
This image is called Lolita Christina, and is from the Perfect Match Collection.
But now back to the card and papers I have used:) They are from the wonderful collection "Mina Vanner" from Maja Design. I love the rose paper, and I think they fit wedding cards perfect as well.
And as you can see this card is an easel card.
I have used two sentiment stamps from Stempelglede as well.

The image is colored with Distress Markers.
For the skin I have used: Antique Linen and Tattered Rose, and then just a little bit of Tea Dye.
Her top is colored with Victorian Velvet, and some Black Soot (Reinkers) for the dark parts.
And the jeans is colored with Weathered Wood.
For her hair I have used Antique Linen.
What a cool chic!:)
I have actually added crackle accents to her glasses, but it is a bit hard to see.
Under is a better view of the lovely sentiment from Stempelglede. I agree so with the saying. I can try to translate it, and it goes something like this: Magic is to have faith in your self. If you can do it, you can get anything to happen
I have sewed all the papers with my sewing machine, and added Distress Ink pad-Walnut Stain to the paper edges to make them look a bit old.
Here are also some cheese cloth, a doily and a lace. The flowers are from Kort & Godt, Prima and WOC.
Please visit the Maja Design blog for more inspiration with the lovely papers!:))
Thank you so much for visiting,
and have a wonderful day!!!

Deep Ocean Challenges #22 ~ Masking or use more than one stamp (sentiment not included)

Finally I have made a card again. This time for Deep Ocean Challenges. For the next two weeks we want to see masking or that you use more than one stamp on your project.
I love making scenes with the masking technique.
Here I have put together three Magnolia stamps. The Magnolia tree, Spring Fence and Tilda's family.
For colouring I have used Distress Markers and Distress Ink (mostly the Markers).
The cute charm I have used is from Hjerteboden, and called Bottle
Also the papers from Pion Design are bought in Hjerteboden ♥.
I have used stamps from Stempelglede (Vintage Garden) around the image. The post stamp is an old one from Crafty Individuals.
{You can also view this card in my Magnolia blog}

MDUC#138 ~ Old treasures ♥

Hi there!
It has been a busy week for me, and now I am at a crop called Strilascrappen here at Norway's West Coast:) I am having a fabulous time with my friends Audhild and Bente here.
But to the card, it is of course for MDUC challenges the coming week, and the theme is
OLD TREASURES!
I often use old treasures on my cards, so this was a fun challenges for me, not that difficult:)
I have used a paper from an old book I got from my grandmother. Then some corrugated paper, cheese cloth and a doily.
The image is Tilda going Banana from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012 from Magnolia
I have color her up in Distress Ink, reinkers.

You can also see this card in my Magnolia blog.
Please visit the MDUC blog and have a look at all the inspiring creations from my wonderful teammates!!

DOC #21 ~ Butterflies ♥

It is time for another fun challenge at
This time we want to see BUTTERFLIES on your project!
I have used Magnolia's Tilda Princess of the Valley for my card.
She is the cutest and probably my favorite from this collection.
I have coloured her with the new Distress Markers, on The Langton extra smooth Hot pressed paper, 300g.
Here are the colors I have used:
Skin: Antique Linen, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo
Dress: Weathered Wood, Walnut Stain and Black Soot
Hair: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain
Shoes: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
I haven't gotten all the colors yet, so for the green I have used my Distress Reinkers (Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint). Also her cheeks (mix of Tattered Rose and Aged Mahogany) and some Faded Jeans on the bluebells. It is fine to mix both Markers and Inks.
I don't use these markers the same way as I color with copics, more the same way as I color with Distress Reinkers. I lay on the color bit by bit and blend it out with my painting brush (Synthetic 00 and 0), with a little water on, as they are water colors.
The papers I have used are from Pion Design, also the butterflies I have cut out are from Pion papers.
The one under is DooHickeys from Magnolia.
The swirls around the image are from Stempelglede (Vintage Garden)

You can also view this post in my Magnolia blog.

MDUC #137 ~HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥

Here comes my Birthday Card for
Yes we are celebrating our three years birthday, and ofcourse with a suitable theme;)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
My card is again made with the lovely dies from Go Kreate.
For the card I first fold a 15x30 cm paper in half. Then I lay the largest of the three dies on the paper. But where the paper fold is, I lay the die just a little over the paper. This way it won't cut the fold.
I then have a 15x15 cm bazzill (vanilla), and a 15x15 cm pattern paper (here Pion Design). I cut both with the largest die. I use Sizzix Big Shot, but you can of course use Cuttlebug. (The dies are just as DooHickeys or Spellbinders.)
I then ink both paper edges with Walnut Stain (Distress Ink pad), fasten them together with a small tape bit. Then I sew around the edges with my sewing machine. That way I don't have to sew on the actually card base.
The image Tilda with Balloon from the Magnolia-You are so Special 2011 Collection, is colored with Distress Ink, reinkers.
On Tuesday evening I will show you a card where I have colored with the Distress Markers. I have bought a few of them, and it was fun to try. I use them almost like the Distress reinkers: I lay the colors around the edges of the image in small parts, and I blend out the colors with my paint brush (00 and 0).
It worked fine on my hot pressed The Langton 300g paper. Ok will tell you more on Tuesday:)

DT Maja Design - Life by the sea

It is Friday again, and my time to host the Maja Design blog!:)
This time I have challenged myself to use the orange pattern papers from Life by the sea by Maja Design.
It fit the image Tiger Tilda from Magnolia so well:) So in the end it wasn't a very hard challenge.
As you can see I have made an Easel Card with the dies from Go Kreate.
The heart is made with a Spellbinder die, and the text stamp is from Stempelglede - Just a note.
I have also used Stempelglede stamps around the image (Vintage Garden), and the poststamp is an old one from Crafty Individuals.
The gorgeous flowers are from Prima.
I have made this card to a friend of mine that need a hug right now (Klem=hug).
And Tilda looks so cozy too:)
The image is coloured with Distress Ink.
The flags and leaves are both made with DooHickey dies (Magnolia).

Enjoy your weekend,
and thank you for visiting!
